Rimfire Match Rule’s

Important Information

Always follow the basic rules of firearm safety:
1. Handle all firearms as if they are loaded at ALL times.
2. Never point a gun at anything that you are not willing to destroy- always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
3. Keep your finger off of the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
4. Be sure of your target AND what is behind it!

Do not bring a loaded firearm to the match. Guns will be loaded at the firing line at the direction of a Safety Officer (SO). Wearing a holster is not allowed.

Equipment:
Rifles must be tube or magazine fed, minimum of 3 mags .
Magazine maximum capacity of 10.
Handguns: Semi auto’s with detachable magazines (3 mag) or double action revolvers (3 speedloaders recommended). 10 round maximum capacity.
No single shot guns

Everyone present must bring and wear eye and ear protection.

Shooting:
There are 2 Divisions: Open and Limited. Open guns may have optics (scopes, red dot etc.) and compensators. Limited guns are not allowed to have optics or compensators. If either of your guns falls into the Open division you will shoot in the Open division.

BRING YOUR OWN GUNS & AMMO – IF you do not have one, but are able to shoot one, we may be able to provide a few to fairly new shooters. We do not provide ammo.

This is a timed event. The score is comprised of your time plus time penalties for missed targets. The clock starts with an audible beep and ends by shooting the “stop plate”. Once the stop plate has been shot the run is finished, time stops and misses will be scored.

Each stage will have 3 strings of fire unless noted on the stage description. Worst score of the three is thrown out.

Bring your gun to the line in a bag or case. NO HOLSTERS. Do not handle your firearm unless under the direction of a Safety Officer (SO).

-Shooters may request the SO to call hits or misses, but not both.
